Dr Ono Alex-Ohunyon


Dr Ono Alex-Ohunyon takes a particular interest in men’s health, skin cancer medicine and aged care. By breaking down the traditional barriers men feel when it comes to their health, Dr Ono encourages men to take their health seriously, and is passionate about the positive impact a connection with medical professionals can have in their lives. Dr Ono has a Professional and Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer medicine and can support you from diagnosis to treatment, including minor surgery. His interest in the intricacy of internal medicine and complex medical issues has led Dr Ono to become an aged care GP specialist, working across several aged care facilities throughout the Southern Highlands.

With wide-ranging and varied experience in different health systems, Dr Ono is also heavily involved with the local hospitals as a Visiting Medical Officer.

After living and working in Germany, South Africa, Nigeria and now Australia, Dr Ono holds a Masters in International Public Health and Health Management from UNSW.

Dr Jeff Pinkstone


As a co-founder of Walker Street General Practice in January 1993, Dr Jeff Pinkstone enjoys the full range of general practice, with his specialties including chronic disease management, men’s mental health, palliative care, and aviation and occupational medicine.

Dr Jeff is passionate about connecting with his patients and providing tailored care. This ranges from engaging men in their own health and managing on-going and trusted relationships, to supporting patients and their families through the complexities of palliative care.

As a former medical officer in the RAAF, Dr Jeff has a special interest in aviation medicine, including general health, but also as an Aviation Medical Examiner for CASA. He accepts appointments for pilots and air traffic controllers for their occupational health.

Dr Amanda Hipwell


Dr Amanda Hipwell is an advocate for preventative medicine and is passionate about proactive health care for her patients. As a mum of two, she has a natural interest in women’s and children’s health, including her work as an antenatal shared care provider to monitor and support her patients with low risk pregnancies. Dr Amanda also has a special interest in men’s health, and building trust with her patients to ensure they take their health seriously with regular check-ups and reducing stigmas, particularly issues around sexual health.

Dr Amanda has a strong scientific and research background, including experience in emergency care. Originally from Pennsylvania, USA, Dr Amanda completed her medical degree from the University of Queensland in 2011.

Dr Jessica Hines


Dr Jessica Hines has a wide-ranging interest across general practice, including skin cancer medicine and skin procedures, mental health, women’s and children’s health, as well as chronic disease management and aged care.

Dr Jessica Hines has a Masters degree in general medicine from the Australian National University, and finished her hospital training across the ACT and rural NSW. She is currently completing her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, having already attained her Diploma of Child Health, and Professional certificates in General Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery. Dr Jessica has now returned home to the Southern Highlands to further her General Practice career and her books are open for new patients.

Dr Natasha Hill


Dr Natasha Hill’s medical interest is Women’s Health – empowering women in their own health, and supporting women from birth through their whole life. Having previously worked for 5 years in obstetrics and gynaecology and as a recent mother herself, Dr Natasha can support your reproductive journey from pre-conception through to post-natal care, including paediatric health. Dr Natasha is also a sexual and reproductive health specialist for both male and female patients.

Originally from Ireland, Dr Natasha completed her first degree in Natural Science from Trinity College Dublin, and in 2012 graduated with honours in her medical degree from University of Limerick, Ireland. Since then, Dr Natasha has gained experience working in different health care systems in Ireland, UK, Perth and Sydney, and now calls the Southern Highlands home.

Dr Joanne Tong


Dr Jo Tong is a strong advocate of holistic care and preventative health care for her patients. From managing chronic health conditions, to children’s health, Dr Jo is a community-minded GP, known for her thorough, caring and methodical approach.

Prior to moving to the Southern Highlands in May 2020, Dr Jo completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and worked as a dedicated GP in Albury for 10 years where she enjoyed the management of complex cases in the community, palliative care, children’s health and preventative medicine.

Dr Hana Faria


Dr Hana Faria has a special interest and extensive experience in mental health, as well as women’s and children’s health. She has completed the Certificate in Sexual Health & Family Planning and is trained in insertion and removal of contraceptive implant (Implanon). Dr Faria is passionate about preventative medicine – promoting regular check-ups, building a relationship between doctor and patient, and positive lifestyle choices for health benefits.

Dr Faria obtained her medical degree from University of Dhaka in Bangladesh in 2009. Since moving to Australia, she trained at several hospitals in NSW including Bankstown Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, Royal North Shore and Ryde Hospitals. She subsequently completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney.

Dr Faria is currently on maternity leave and is due to return to Walker Street in November 2020.
