Dutch-trained and internationally practised, Dr Mier Margés brings broad experience across Europe, rural Africa and Australia. Her interests include women’s health, skin checks and excisions, infections and tropical diseases, ADHD prescription renewals, mental health, sexual health and LGBTQIA health.
Consulting Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and all day Thursday, Dr Margés brings a rare breadth of experience to Walker St General Practice. Dutch-trained and internationally practised across European hospitals, rural Africa and Australia, she worked as a GP in Sydney and the Blue Mountains before settling in the Southern Highlands with her young family.
With a strong surgical and gynaecological background, her particular interests include women’s health, skin checks and excisions, infections and tropical diseases, renewal of prescriptions for ADHD, mental health, sexual health and LGBTQIA health. She warmly welcomes patients of all ages and backgrounds for any general practice needs, and also provides Antenatal Shared Care in partnership with Bowral District Hospital.
Outside the clinic, Mier enjoys gardening, skiing, art galleries, and a good coffee and éclair. She loves being part of the Highlands community, and so does her family.
