Dr Rob Massera General Practice Registrar Doctor

Dr Robert Massera (Dr Rob) completed a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney in 2004, followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008. He undertook his early postgraduate training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney and has worked across a range of hospital specialties, including surgery, emergency medicine, intensive care and ophthalmology.

Before joining Walker Street General Practice, Dr Rob worked as a surgical assistant in joint replacement and bariatric (weight-loss) surgery in Sydney. Originally from Sydney, he has recently moved to the Southern Highlands and is looking forward to being part of the local community.

Dr Rob is a GP registrar – a fully qualified doctor completing specialist general practice training under the supervision of Dr Ono and Dr Nathan. He works closely with them, discussing cases and care plans when needed, so that patients benefit from their combined experience as well as his careful, up-to-date approach to care.

His main interests in general practice include men’s health, aviation medicine, skin cancer and procedural medicine. He is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care and values building ongoing relationships with his patients.

Outside of work, Dr Rob enjoys flying, skiing, tennis, hiking and keeping active. Click here to book in with Dr Rob.
